A great man once said, "Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what's right".
New rules come every day, new leaders come to power every day, and as each day as time passes, things change.
In the year 2123, for about a hundred years the Sasmus have been known by everyone in the world, from their immense power from taking control of the world through force. They destroyed cities and formed new cities in their name.
Of course, after a while, their empire would eventually fall, resulting in the cities to split apart and work individually. One city would change so much that everything else would soon change.
Realan City. The birthplace and home of you, Mark Yamelle. As a newly recruited detective for the New Calgmeri police department, you are then sent on your first live investigation. Terrorists have been reported attacking the Mar Towers near the central district of the city, which are controlled by the very rich and powerful who hold the city in their hands. These Mar Towers are the second most important thing to the powerful in Realan City other than their own Realan Tower located in the center of the city, so this investigation is a top priority job to those at the police department. A test of morals awaits you as you walk into this scene, as you realize these people are anything but terrorists. In fact, they look more like refugees. You see that this is police brutality against the weak and poor commanded by the rich and powerful.
Many people say there is no escape from the heavily guarded and walled city. You are always on the run from the police, and possibly the all-superior Realan military itself. You, Mark, soon befriend old enemies and make new ones, and you soon discover secrets about the government, and even about your own life you never knew before.
This mod is going to have mostly a cyberpunk feel in it, very similar to looks and gameplay styles as seen in Deus Ex (2000), as well as using some ideas from the storyline of Half-Life 2.
The Unknown: Emergence is Team Realan's first mod, it has yet to be released. Visit our ModDB page or the news page, for more information.
